How safe is the Tesla Model 3?
When it was crash-tested by the benchmark European safety organisation, Euro NCAP, in 2019, the Model 3 scored the maximum possible five stars. It did particularly well in physical crash tests, with an adult occupant protection rating of 96 per cent, although child occupants were well looked-after, too, with an 86 per cent score.
Every Model 3 has eight airbags as standard, for the driver and passenger (and their knees), as well as curtain and side impact protection.
