Alaric Jackson, the starting left tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence in Los Angeles on Monday night, according to police and multiple U.S. media reports.

Authorities say officers responded to Jackson’s home after a reported incident involving a woman. Investigators allege that during a verbal argument, Jackson attempted to take a phone from the woman because he believed she was recording him. Police reported that the woman had visible scratch marks on her arm.

Jackson, 27, was booked into jail and later released after posting $50,000 bail. The Rams said they are aware of the incident and take such matters seriously but declined further comment because the case is ongoing.

The legal process is still in its early stages, and the allegations have not been proven in court. The NFL could also review the matter under its personal conduct policy as the case develops.
