Only a select group of clubs have managed to win the European Cup/UEFA Champions League in consecutive seasons. Following Paris Saint-Germain’s successful title defense in 2025/26, there are now 10 clubs that have achieved the feat.

Notable records

  • Real Madrid hold the all-time record with five straight European Cups from 1956 to 1960.  
  • Ajax, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are the only clubs to win three consecutive titles.  
  • In the modern UEFA Champions League era (since 1992), only Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have successfully defended the trophy.  

The longest streak remains Real Madrid’s incredible run of five consecutive European Cups, a record that has stood for more than six decades.
