Buckle up, Los Angeles, because Collider has partnered with Paramount Pictures for a terrifying ride. We’re thrilled to announce that we’re teaming up to offer our readers the chance to attend an advanced screening of André Øvredal’s (Troll Hunter) upcoming supernatural horror, Passenger, from the producers behind It (2017), The Conjuring, and The Batman. Not only will you get the opportunity to see the movie ahead of the crowds, but we’ll also be hosting an exclusive Q&A with writer Zach Donohue (The Den), as well as producers Gary Dauberman and Walter Hamada, to go behind the scenes for this upcoming fright. Read on for the full details on how you can enter for your chance to win free tickets.
You’ve almost certainly seen the trailer — two friends driving down an eerie, secluded road in the woods, when they make the mistake of pulling over. After one of them is violently ripped from the car, the other speeds away from the scene, panicked. His terror begins to mount when he passes an ominous stranger standing on the side of the road… again and again and again. Suddenly, the figure is sitting in the passenger seat, inches from the screen. The jump scare has been eliciting screams from audiences and even prompting people to take to social media, and that’s only the beginning. Passenger stars Jacob Scipio (Bad Boys: Ride or Die), Lou Llobell (Foundation), and Melissa Leo (The Fighter).
In the movie, a young “van life” couple, Maddie (Llobell) and Tyler (Scipio), witnesses a grisly accident on the highway, but even leaving the awful sight behind can’t put a stop to this nightmare. Not long after, they realize something followed them, a demonic presence known as the Passenger, and it won’t stop until it claims both of them.
