Police f@tally shoot son accused of stabbing disabled mom on Mother’s Day.

A man allegedly stabbed his disabled mother on Mother’s Day during a domestic violence incident. Police were called to the home after reports of an “escalating situation.” When officers arrived, they found the son actively attacking his mother with a knife.

According to investigators:

Officers ordered him to stop and drop the weapon He reportedly refused and continued the attack Police then shot and fatally wounded him at the scene The mother survived but suffered serious stab injuries and was hospitalized Three officers were also treated for minor injuries during the confrontation 

Authorities also said the mother had previously called 911 because she was afraid of her son, and the case is now under investigation by the state attorney general’s office.

This is still an active investigation, so details may change as more official reports come out.

The mother, who sustained several stab wounds in the harrowing attack, was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries, sources and cops said. 

She is confined to a wheelchair and was described by neighbors as a quiet woman who suffered years of domestic abuse. 

She had triplet boys, with at least two of them suffering from mental illness, WABC reported. 

The woman, who was not identified, made at least one 911 call on Sunday, stating she had become afraid of her son, sources added. 

Three Southampton police officers were also taken to a local hospital and treated for unknown injuries. They have since been released, according to authorities. 

Detectives from the New York State Attorney General’s Office responded to the scene, cops said. 

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
