Borno police uncovers IED in abandoned bag

Operatives of the Borno State Police command has recovered a suspicious bag abandoned at Layin Logo, Moduganari area of Maiduguri, the state capital.

The Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit Base 13 was immediately deployed to the scene  where an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) concealed in the bag was identified and safely detonated in line with standard operating procedures.

The command in a statement released, advised residents of the state to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious persons or objects to the nearest Police Station or call the following Emergency Contacts: 0806 807 5581, 0802 347 3293.
