You need:

BuddyBoss Platform Pro Community system (profiles, feed, groups, messaging)
BuddyBoss Theme Beautiful community design
Hosting (Premium) Fast, secure server — SiteGround / NameHero / Hostinger
Optional: MemberPress If you want paid membership access
🌐 STEP 2: Install WordPress
- Go to hosting dashboard (cPanel or hPanel)
- Click WordPress Installer
- Install it on your domain (example: http://www.yourcommunity.com)
🎨 STEP 3: Install BuddyBoss Theme & Platform
- Go to WordPress Admin Dashboard
- Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload
- Upload:
buddyboss-theme.zip
- Install & Activate
Then install BuddyBoss platform:
- Plugins → Add New → Upload
- Upload buddyboss-platform-pro.zip
- Activate
👉 Now your site has full community functionality.
📌 STEP 4: Configure Community Features
Go to BuddyBoss → Settings
Enable: ✔ Member Profiles
✔ Activity Feeds
✔ Groups
✔ Messaging
✔ Notifications
✔ Friends / Followers
✔ Media Uploads
✔ Reactions (Like, Love, etc.)
👥 STEP 5: Allow User Registrations
- Go to Settings → General
- Check Anyone can register
- Set New User Default Role: Member
🪪 STEP 6: Create Core Community Pages
BuddyBoss auto-creates them, but check:
Page Purpose
Activity Members’ timeline posts
Groups Join/create groups
Members Profile listings
Messages Private chat
Login Secure login
Register New account signup
If any page is missing:
- Go to BuddyBoss → Pages
- Click Create Now
💬 STEP 7: Enable Messaging (DM)
BuddyBoss → Settings → Messaging → Enable
This gives:
private inbox
group chat
file sharing
emojis, typing indicators
🏘 STEP 8: Enable Groups
BuddyBoss → Settings → Groups → Enable
Set:
Public groups
Private groups
Hidden/Secret groups (VIP)
