Tesla Model 3 electric car buying guide

In five years, the Tesla Model 3 has gone from nearly non-existent on UK roads to ubiquitous
It’s hard to believe that only five years ago the Tesla Model 3 barely existed on UK roads. Such has been its immense impact that these days you’ll encounter one as often as once you’d have previously seen a Ford Focus or a Vauxhall Astra.

It isn’t too hard to see why. Model 3 buyers are won over by a combination of rapid performance, stable, grippy handling and an airy, spacious interior. And while the Model 3 isn’t quite as well finished inside as the equivalent BMW or Audi, the clean, minimalist styling gives it an appeal all of its own.

Teslas are renowned for their blistering pace and the Performance version of the Model 3 with its 0-62mph time of about three seconds doesn’t disappoint in that regard. However, the more ordinary models are plenty fast enough for most – even the slowest Model 3, the Standard Range, can sprint to 62mph in about six seconds.
