Weaned from Sin
No Sinner in Him
Text: I John 3:5-9
Now that the Bible says “in Him there is no sin”, it means if anybody who is in Christ wants to commit sin, he has to take brief exit, step outside Christ.
To commit sin is freely available outside Christ. There is no sinner in Christ. Every sinner you see is outside of Christ.
Every sin no matter how small is capable of sending you to hell. The power of sin is not in it’s magnitude. It is actually because, before you can commit sin whether small or big, you have to first excuse yourself out from Christ. And when you go out, the door is closed. Coming back is only by God’s mercy.
A snake does not kill a man because it is a big snake 🐍. Why does it kill? It is by the effect of its venom, regardless of the size of the snake
Any activity or religion that does not set you free from sin, the slave master, is not good for your life.
From the standpoint of the Bible 1John 3:7, no man is completely deemed to be righteous only on Jesus account until he himself begins to “do righteousness”. Jesus’ righteousness was input to us, to enable us become righteous by Christ, you must show it by living a righteous life.
For anyone to become a noble vessel of God, he has to be weaned from sin by God. Whether sin is big or small, it has the ability to enslave a man if he was a giant.
See what sin did to Judas Acts.1:7, Rev. 21:14, Matt.19:28. It removed his name from the kingdom file both on earth and in heaven. The sin that brought him down did not start big.
Do not be deceived, the name of Jesus is credit worthy all the time. If you call that name it will work. But that has very little to do with you. A slave can be in the family for a while; using family wears, using the family properties, using the family name…but when the time comes, the slave must be sent out. That is why the Lord Jesus Christ will say to some on the last day, “depart from me, I know you not, you workers of iniquity”
No matter the pressure you are going through, it is better to die than to succumb to sin.
You must be weaned from sin if God must use you! 2Tim.2:19. If you are not yet done with sin, stand away from serving God.
